Sonsof Pitches, Standard Liege Top Of Table Clash A Draw

Wednesday Division 3
The Sons of Pitches, Standard Liege top of the table encounter was a thriller. Both teams had the lead a number of times before Rob Ahern dramatically equalised for The Pitches with the last kick of the match. Pat Coleman was magnificent for Liege while Shane Forde scored three for The Pitches. The final score was 5-5.
The Average Joes bounced back from their bad defeat last week to win a tight contest with BNY FC. The turning point of the match was the goal scored by Terry Jones for The Joes which took a wicket deflection and left the BNY keeper stranded.
The Castlemartyres had a comfortable win against The Hot Shots. James Mellis and Dave O Riordan scored a hat trick a piece for The Martyrs.
O Donovan Electrical had to wait until the final five minutes to seal their win against Fritzl Palace. Man of the match, Declan O Dwyer put the game beyond doubt with a fine goal.

Wednesday Division 2
Far From Athletic continued their fine run of wins with a comprehensive win against Dynamo Tonduff. The high light of this match was the rocket scored by Aaron Atkinson from the half way line for the winners.
Bobby Rogers was the man of the match for The B69ers during their 3-1 win against United. He played the first half in goal and out field in the second. The high light of the match was the magnificent goal scored by Tom O Brien for the winners in the first half.
Colin McCarthy scored an amazing five goals for Mercer during their comprehensive win against Balaga Tonga.

Wednesday Division 1
 The Crofton, Temple Inn encounter was a thriller which was decided when man of the match, Leonard Murphy scored the winner with a beautiful back flick for Crofton. Rory Perry and Steve Dwyer were always a threat for Temple while Leonard Murphy and Brian Buckley were outstanding for Crofton. The final score was 3-2 for Crofton.
 Racing Club were too strong against an under strength Novartis. Dave O Neill notched a hat trick for the winners.
The Kids put in a very polished performance against Nualight and won quite easily. Colin Hammond and Oisin McGrath were impressive for the winners.

Thursday Division 2
 The surprise of the week was the amazing performance of Panicyakos when they held the undefeated Chancers to a three all draw. Liam Killeen was the man of the match and scored two fine goals for the Midleton lads.
BNYM FC just edged the JT Specials in a thriller which ended 4-3. Kieran Crowley was outstanding for the Specials and contributed three goals to his teams tally but unfortunately was on the loosing team.
Defences dominated in The Whitfords, CPL encounter during which the sides were deadlocked at 0-0 at half time. Martin Gatley scored a great individual goal for CPL half way through the second period to give his team the lead which they were able to maintain until the final whistle.
Noel Kenny and Ronan Geary both scored four goals for Apple Exiles during their comprehensive win against South City. Colm Maloney and Kieran McGuire scored for South City.

Thursday Division 1
Tim O Connor was the hero for The Ex Pats when he scored the winner against The Thirtysomethings during an encounter which could have been won by either side. The final score was 3-2.
Athletico PTF pair, Jason White and Ricky Fleming combined to cause havoc in The All Blacks defence during a clash in which the duo scored eight goals. Niall Murphy scored a brace for The All Blacks.
Despite trailing to The Known Quantities at half time by two goals to one, Os Navegantes were fabulous in the second half and thoroughly deserved their 4-2 victory. Paulo was outstanding for the winners and contributed 2 goals to his sides tally.

CPL Equalise In Last Minute

Thursday Division 2
The top of the table clash between CPL and The Chancers was a thriller. It was a competition between the pace and skill of the Chancers and the strength and power of CPL. CPL deservedly drew level to earn a 3-3 draw in the last minute. Martin Gatley was outstanding for CPL while Kevin Wilmut scored two for The Chancers.
Ronan Geary was outstanding for Apple Exiles against JT Specials. As well as scoring four goals his general play was very impressive.
The South City defence was brilliant against BNYM and were desperately unlucky to concede a last minute goal to loose 3-2. Cian Flemming scored a brace for BNYM while South City goal keeper Arthur O Shea was the man of the match.
Panicyaikos were level with The Whitfords at 2-2 with twenty minutes remaining but conceded two goals in the run in to Cameron Espey and Jack Rusell to loose 4-2.

Thursday Division 1
The All Blacks, Known Quantities encounter was a match of two halves. The All Blacks were superb in the first half and thoroughly deserved their three goal lead. However they seemed to ease up in the second period. This allowed The Knowns to take control and make a deserved comeback. The Knowns won the match 4-3.
Athletico PTF were very unlucky to loose their match with The Thirtysomethings 3-2. Athletico twice lead in the encounter and with three minutes remaining conceded their third to loose by the odd goal.
With ten minutes remaining the score was 2-2 in the Ex Pats Athletic, Os Navegantes encounter. Three late goals for Navegantes including two from Pedro sealed the win for The Portugeese lads.

Wednesday Division 3
Mark Kennefick was the hero for O'Donovan Electric during a pulsating encounter with The Hot Shots when he made countless outstanding saves to deny his opponents and help his team to a 2-1 victory. Eoghan O Callaghan was the one player to breach Marks goal while Bernard Parks and Declan O Dwyer scored for O'Donovans.
Sons of Pitches continued their unbeaten run when they had a comprehensive win against The Average Joes. The high light of the game was the superb individual goal scored by Jay Nixon when he beat three players before slotting the ball in the corner.
James Mealy was on song and contributed a hat trick for Substandard Liege against BNY FC.
The Castlemartyres and Fritzl Palace played a thrilling 5-5 draw, the high light of which was an outstanding long range bullet scored by Mike Wren of Palace. Mike contributed a hat trick for the Fritzl while Colin Ahern scored a brace for The Martyres.

Wednesday Division 2
Dynamo Tonduff recovered a two goal half time deficit and to tie with douglasmortgage.ie with ten minutes remaining. However Brendan Spillane then scored two quick goals for Douglas who went on to win 5-2
Aaron Atkinson was superb for Far From Athletic against an under strength Hit and Miss team. Atkinson and Mark O Callaghan notched hat tricks for the winners.
The high light of The Mercer, B69ers encounter was thunderbolt scored by Brendan Ryan from over 20 yards for Mercer. Mercer won the game comprehensively.
The Balaga Tonga, United match was a thriller, the result of which was in doubt until the final whistle. The teams were deadlocked at 2-2 when Paul Richardson scored a great winner for United.

Wednesday Division 1
Despite a dream start when they scored two early goals, Nualight were well beaten by a resurgent Temple Inn Dians. Rory Perry was in great form for the winners and scored an amazing 7 goals.
With seven minutes remaining FC Crofton and Novartis were tied 5-5 during a great encounter. Lenny Murphy took control of the match for Crofton during the last few minutes and scored the last three goals to help his team to a 9-5 win.
Jason Lake and Gavin O Connor were outstanding in defence for Racing Club against The Kids in the top of the table encounter. With five minutes remaining it appeared that the counter attacking tactics of Racing would pay off. At this stage they were winning 1-0 thanks to a great free kick by Gavin O Connor. However The Kids didn’t panic and persisted with their total football style. They were rewarded with two goals from Eoin Murphy and Steve Mahon in the last few minutes to win 2-1.

Mercer, Tonduff Thriller Is A Draw

Wednesday Division 2
Mercer and Dynamo Tonduff served up a thriller which looked like a win for Toduff until Brendan Ryan equalised in the last minute. Philip Brennan scored a great goal for Tonduff in the first half.
With ten minutes remaining the score was 1-1 during the United, Hit and Miss encounter. Cian O Mahony and Fiachra O Driscoll took full advantage of a Hit and Miss late yellow card and scored twice in the last ten minutes to earn United a 3-1 win.
Patrick O Regan scored a hat trick and was generally outstanding for Far From Athletic during their 6-3 victory against Balaga Tongo. The high light of the match was a super goal scored by Aaron Atkinson for Far From after a great run and cross by O Regan.
Douglasmortgage.ie comprehensively defeated The B69ers in an encounter during which Adrian O Shea and Tom Mulcahy scored magnificent goals for Douglas.

Wednesday Division 3
Despite leading by three at half time, The Average Joes were lucky to escape with a 3-2 win against Fritzl Palace. Veteran John O'Donovan scored a great goal for The Joes while Noel McCarthy scored a cracker for Fritzl.
O'Donovan Electrical goal keeper Paul Kennifick was outstanding and was the man of the match during the BNY, O'Donovan Electrical encounter. Declan Dwyer and Damien Murphy scored a brace a piece for O Donovans during their 5-0 win.
Sons of Pitches had a comprehensive win against The Castlemartyres. Jerry O Reilly was outstanding for the winners and scored five goals.
Philip Wade and James Mealy scored marvellous individual goals for Substandard Liege during their win against The Hot Shots. However, the man of the match was Patrick Coleman. Substandard are the early favourites to win this division.

Wednesday Division 1
When Rory Perry scored two early goals for The Temple Inn against Racing Club early in the first period it looked like The Temple would build on their great win against The Kids the previous week. However when Ed Noonan moved to centre forward Racing began to dominate. The final score was 7-4 in favour of Racing.
FC Crofton finally banked three points when they defeated Nualight in a high scoring encounter. Paul Tierny, Rob Harrington, Shane Forde and Vadin Gorbets all scored twice for the winners.
The Kids returned to winning ways with a comprehensive victory over Novartis. Eoghan Murphy and Colin Hammond were superb for the winners.

Thursday Division 1
Killian Deasy started the Thirtysomethings, All Blacks encounter like a man possessed. He had a hat trick under his belt after only ten minutes. The Thirtysomethings kept the momentum up and won the match 9-4. Despite being on the loosing side Niall Murphy played very well for The All Black and scored a fine hat trick.
Os Navigantes got their first win of the season when they defeated a gallant Athletico PTF 5-3. Despite conceding two early goals Athletico were back on level terms with ten minutes remaining. However two late goals scored by Pedro and Heilo sealed the points for the Portuguese.
Padraig McGovern scored a great hat trick for The Known Quantities and was the difference between the sides when The Knowns defeated The Ex Pats 7-4.

Thursday Division 2
The Whitfords, South City match was illuminated by the superb performance of Jesper Peterson of the Whitfords. He scored two great goals including a 25 yarder half volley. Arthur O Shea was outstanding in goal for South City and made numerous blocks and saves.
David Daly and Kevin Wilmot were in top form for The Chancers during their comprehensive win against JT Specials. Daly and Wilmot scored four and three goals respectively.
The BNYM, Panikiakos encounter was a very entertaining affair with little between the sides. However the experience and guile of the BNYM lads gave them the edge and the points. The final score was 3-1 in favour of the bankers.

Ex Pats, All Blacks Play Thriller

Thursday Division 1
The Ex Pats Athletic, All Black encounter was a thriller. The advantage shifted back and fourth as some outstanding goals were scored before Rob Healy saved a point for The All blacks at the death with a last minute equaliser. The high light of the match was the rocket scored by Tim O Connor for the Ex Pats to give them the lead shortly before Rob’s equaliser.
The Os Navagantes, Thirtysomethings game was also a cracking match. The Thirtysomethings eked out a win by the narrowest of margins when Colm Dooley scored very close to full time to earn a 4-3 win for The Magpies. The high light of this competition was the fabulous goal scored by Paulo for The Portuguese lads.
The Known Quantities defeated Athletic PTF 4-0 in a match that was much closer than the score line suggests. The Knowns will be strong contenders for the title again this season. Ken Hourahan has been a great addition to their squad.

Thursday Division 2
CPL FC made a super comeback against BNYM when they recovered a 3 goal half time deficit to win by four. Martin Gatley and Rory Walsh scored two a piece for the winners while Jonathan Deveraux scored a brace for BNYM.
When Cameron Espey scored two goals for The Whitfords in a minute during the first half against The JT Specials it looked like The Whitfords would record an easy win. However John McCarthy scored twice for The Specials in the second period to earn a point for The Specials, who looked very smart in their new colours.
With 10 minutes remaining during the Apple Exiles, Paniliakos encounter the teams were deadlocked at two each. However, Apple scored three more times before the final whistle to earn a 5-2 win. Ronan Geary scored a brace for the winners.
Kevin Wilmot and David Daly scored four goals each for The Chancers during their comprehensive win against south City.

Wednesday Division 1
Despite being starved of possession, Racing Club managed to defeat FC Crofton 8-4. A solid defence and a lethal counter attack were the tactics employed by the experienced Racing against the more skilful and younger Crofton.
Nualight opened their account with a fine 5-1 win against an under strength Novartis. Adrian Field was outstanding for the winners and scored a great hat trick.
The performance of the evening was produced by Temple Inn Dians who put The Kids to the sword. Rory Perry was brilliant for Temple and scored four super goals. This was the Kids first defeat in 16 matches.
Wednesday Division 2

The Mercer, Hit and Miss encounter was another thriller, the result of which was in doubt until the last five minutes when Tom Morgan scored the insurance goal for Mercer.
Patrick O Regan was outstanding for Far From Athletic in their match against The B69ers. In this encounter the youth and energy Far From defeated the experience and guile of the B69ers. Kieran McCarthy and Aaron Atkinson scored a brace a piece for the winners.
Douglasmortgage.ie looked very strong in their match against FC Balaga Tongo. The usual suspects, Ed Quirke, Jim Walsh and Albert Hobs were outstanding for the winners
Paul Richardson scored in both halves for United during their encounter with Dinamo Tonduff. Alan Mooney and Dave Courtney were on the mark for Tonduff. The final score was 2-2.
Wednesday Division 3

The Castlemartyres and BNY FC encounter was a thriller. Both teams were ahead twice before man of the match Shay O Connell scored a late equaliser for BNY to tie the match at 4-4.
Substandard Liege had a substantial win against an under strength Fritzl Palace. Patrick Horgan and James Mealyboth scored hat tricks for the winners.
Sons of Pitches were ahead against O' Donovan Electrical at half time by four goals to three. Neither team managed to score in the second period so The Pitches maintained their 100% record.
The Average Joes recovered well from their narrow defeat last week to record a substantial win against The Hot Shots. Stan Wojtek was unstoppable for The Joes and scored four goals in the first half.

Division 1 Champions Start Well

The Summer Footy Summer league started again last week with 36 teams participating. The Spring division 1 champions The Kids and The Unknown Quantities, now The Known Quantities both started their campaigns with good wins and will be difficult to dethrone this season.

Wednesday Division 2
Douglasmortgage.ie made a miraculous recovery in their encounter with Far From Athletic. Douglas were 5-1 down at half time having been completely outplayed by a sharp Far From outfit. Far From may have relaxed a little in the second half but a resurgent Douglas completely dominated in this period and went on to score six unanswered goals to win 7-5.
Hit and Miss got their division 2 campaign off to a great start with a comprehensive win over Dynamo Tonduff. The match was only thirty seconds old when Jody Sinnott scored a wonder goal with a volley direct from a throw in. Dan Williams and Chris Irwin bagged a hat trick a piece for the winners.
Colin McCarthy was the hero for Mercer when he notched two goals during their 3-2 victory over United. The high light of the match was the marvellous free kick from Fiachra O Driscoll for United and save from the Mercer keeper after which the ball trickled over the goal line.
Rory Browne scored four times for Balaga Tongo during their 4-2 win over The B69ers. Tom Barry scored early for the 69ers with a great drive from 20 yards to give The Barrack street lads an early lead but with Joe Dempsey in top form Balaga soon took control.

Wednesday Division 3
The Hot Shots and Fritzl Palace began life in footy.ie with a very entertaining match which Fritzl Palace just shaded with a 3-2 win. Conor Healy scored a magnificent free kick from 25 yard for the winners before Anthony Dunne scored an even more impressive individual goal after a great run.
BNY FC were unlucky to loose 3-2 to Sons of Pitches in a thrilling encounter. Frank Carley opened the scoring for BNY with an outstanding effort but two goals scored by Shane Forde helped The Pitches to win.
Rob Wall opened the scoring for O Donovans in the last minute of the first half to give the electricians a 1-0 half time lead against The Castlemartyres. There was only one score separating the sides with five minutes to go when Trevor Deady and Declan Dwyer both scored to seal the win for O Donovans.
A brave performance by The Average Joes against Substandard Liege with just six men left them behind by one at the end after having drawn level with ten minutes remaining. The high light of this encounter was a great goal scored by Pat Coleman for the winners.

Wednesday Division 1
The Kids began this season in the same vein as they finished the last. Despite three fine goals Vadry Gorobets for FC Crofton The kids had too much fire power and went on to win 8-6. Eoghan Murphy bagged a hatrick for the winners.
John Desmond was the man of the match for Novartis during their 4-4 draw with The temple Inn Dians. Mark O Neil scored three for Temple.
Despite a great performance by Mark Scanlon in goal for Nualight, Racing Club went on to win this encounter comprehensively. Gavin O Connor and Colin Keane both scored hat tricks for the winners.

Thursday Division 2
Apple Exiles and BNYM were very evenly matched during their encounter which ended 1-1. The high light of the match was a marvellous goal scored by Flor McCarthy for BNY to equalise after Ronan Geary had given Apple an early lead.
Both goal keepers were in top form during the JT Specials, South City match which ended in a 3-0 win for the specials. John McCarthy scored twice for the winners.
The Chancers began their campaign with a comprehensive win over The Whitfords. David Daly was in great form for the winners and scored five goals. The Chancers are the early favourites to win this division.
Rory Walsh was in great for CPL FC and scored five goals during their encounter against Paniyakos. Alan Jordan and Donal Mulvahill were also impressive for the winners. Seamus o Brien and Igoras Rogacious did well for The East Cork lads.

Thursday Division 1
The Os Navagantes and All Blacks encounter was a match of two halves. The Portuguese lads with Joao and Pedro Rodriguez playing well dominated the first and deserved to lead 3-0 at half time. The All Blacks turned on the style in the second period and scored some magnificent goals. They went on to win 5-3. Rob Healy notched a second half hat trick for the Blacks.
A man of the match performance by Anthony Doyle in goal for the Booze Crew prevented The Know Quantities from demolishing The Booze crew. Ken Hourahan and Gordon Lynch were excellent for the winners while Padraig McGovern scored three.
Athletico PTF scored three first half goals against an out of sorts Ex Pats Athletic to stat their campaign with a win. Chris Dennehy, Gary Leahy and Jan Oosterhof were on the mark for the winners.
