Far From Athletic produced their best ever Footy performance after they trounced a very strong Tools side. Pat O’Regan and then Liam Hennessy hit the Tools net with early left footed strikes that seemed to leave the Tools paralyzed, and they never recovered. Far From who seem to have dropped the long ball tactic are now real contenders for this division 1 title.
Celts and Racing Club played each other twice last week, and shared the 6 points on offer. 6-4 to the Celts on Wednesday but 6-2 to Racing Club on Thursday in a fixture that was cancelled earlier in the season. The top of the table clash between Rosies and Fritzl Palace was a classic end to end game in which a Martin Higgins hatrick was the difference between the sides. The prolific striker now has 22 goals and only midway through the season. The Carrigaline boys used all their experience to hold their lead after some late pressure from Palace.
Sub Standard Liege produced a classy performance to beat the Average Joes. Chris Fitzgerald and James Mealy were in top form for Liege. But is was the Joe’s Wojtek who stole the limelight when he caught Liege’s keeper of his line with a beautiful chip over from his own half for the goal of the evening.

Thursday Div 2
This division seems to now be a three horse race with Apple Exiles leading the pack by 3 points. Athletico PTF and the Net Busters are in joint second spot. Argen scored twice for the Exiles who won a game that could have gone either way against the Barrack Rats. Both sides adopting an attacking game which led to a high scoring affair that produced 8 goals.

Wednesday Div 2
The Cuban Priests look like they will be hard to stop in this division as they went 6 points clear after only 6 games played with a big win over Balaga Tonga. With plenty of skill on display in their side with some very talented players, notably Lloyd Dorgan and Ronan Sherman, the Priests look set to be Division 1 next time.
