Ex Pats Defeat League Leaders

Thursday Division 1
The Ex Pats produced a type of performance that won them great glory in the recent past when they defeated Os Navegantes 5-4. The Pats hit the Portuguese lads hard and early when they scored four unanswered goals in the first fifteen minutes. As the match proceeded Navegantes clawed their way back into contention. However the passion and work rate of The Pats got them over the line for an unlikely win.
Rob Healy scored an excellent early goal for The All Blacks against The known Quantities. However his teams early momentum was undone when they conceded an own goal. Padraig McGovern scored a second half brace to seal the win for The Knowns.
The Thirtysomethings had a hard fought win against Athletico PTF to keep the pressure on their division rivals. Eoin Barrett and Ken Power were always a threat for Athletico but The Thirtys were just too strong.

Thursday Division 2
Sam Russell scored a tremendous goal in the last minute for The Whitfords against JT Specials to break the deadlock and earn his team the points. The final score was 1-0.
Cian Fleming scored two goals and was the man of the match for BNYM against CPL FC. This was the best performance in a while by BNYM who defeated the league leaders 3-1.
Panicyaikos continued their fine run of form when they defeated The Apple Exiles 1-0. Kieran McCarthy notched the only goal after 23 minutes with a well taken score.
Adam Clinton scored four goals for The Chancers during their comprehensive win against South City.

Wednesday Division 2
A much improved B69ers gave title challengers Far From Athletic a run for their money. The 69ers were in contention until the final quarter, but eventually the energy and conditioning of youth helped Far From to emerge on the right side of the 6-4 score.
Ian Ryan was the hero for Douglasmortgage.ie when he made a string of super saves to earn his side the points in a thrilling encounter with Balaga Tongo. Carl Daly and Jim Walsh netted for Douglas while Joe Dempsey responded for Balaga.
Brendan Ryan scored two marvelous goals for Mercer during their encounter with Hit and Miss. However this wasn’t enough to defeat an impressive H and M for whom Joady Sinott notched a hat trick.
Dynamo Tonduff had a hard fought, but deserved 3-1 win against United. Dave Murphy, Philip Brennan and Chris Hayes were on the mark for Tonduff while Paul Richardson replied for United.
  
Wednesday Division 3
It looked like Substandard Liege would annihilate Fritzl Palace when they stormed into an early four goal lead. However Palace managed to steady the ship and pulled two back before the break. Incredibly, Palace went on to win 8-7. Sean Tobin contributed 5 of the winners total.
O Donovan Electrical moved into top spot when they defeated title rivals Sons of Pitches 3-1 in a top of the table clash. The high light of this encounter was a marvelous individual goal scored by ex QEF player Danny Meade for the winners.
The Hot Shots had a comprehensive win against The Average Joes during which the high light was an amazing goal scored by Eoin O Callaghan.

Wednesday Division 1
Crofton continued their winning streak with a comprehensive win against Novartis. Paul Tierney scored three for the winners.
Despite trailing by two goals to Racing Club entering the last ten minutes, The Kids didn’t panic. They kept playing their normal fluid passing game. Incredibly, they notched three goals in this period, the last of which was scored by Oisin McGrath with the last kick of the match.
The Nualight, Temple Inn encounter was a thriller during which four outstanding goals were shared evenly by the teams. However, the best of these was the goal scored by Niall O Connor for Temple after some intriquet passing between him and Andy O Mahony.
