Tremendous Comeback By Panicaikos

Thursday Division 3
Panicaikos are 2 points clear after a tremendous comeback against the Flying Column in what turned out to be the game of the night. With the Column 2 up with 5 minutes to go, they conceded an own goal and then Seamus O’Brien scored twice for Panicaikos for a 3-2.
Apple Exiles had a 5-2 win over South City and stay in 2nd place. A great performance and a hatrick from Ronan Geary helped the Exiles to their 2nd win in a row.
Cameron Espey showed all his experience in helping Whitfords to a closely fought 5-3 win over the JT Specials, scoring a brace of goals. Murt O Connor scored a cracking goal for the Specials.                           

Thursday Division 2
Novartis recorded their first win with a 3-1 victory over the Rovers. Sean Stack, Ritchie Hewitt and Tony Wall were all on the scoresheet for the Novartis lads. 3 great individual by Sean Jordan helped Sporting CPL maintain their 100% record with a fine win over Sons of Pitches. The Boothouse Bingers beat the Bandits 5-1 to stay in 2nd place. David James excelled for the Bingers. Shay Galvin scored a beauty for the bandits for their only goal. Steve Wallace was man of the match for Athletico PTF in their win over the Bank of New York, and scored a cracker at the start of the 2nd half. Paul Creedon scored a brace for BNY.

Thursday Division 1
30 Somethings scored some cracking early goals and came out on top rather easily against the Ex Pats who are struggling to find some consistency so far this season. Graham Virgo and Luca were on song for the winners who played some excellent football.
Known Quantities had their first win with a comprehensive win over the Net Busters. Goals by Peter Fitzmaurice, Padraig McGovern, Ryan Nolan and man of the match Ed Noonan was enough to secure the Knowns their first points.
Despite 4 gaols from Rob Healy, the All Blacks still came out 2nd best against Os Naventages in another open game. 7-4 the scoreline. Paulo & Luis were tops for Naventages.

Wednesday Division 1
Racing Club stay top after a hard fought 4-2 win over the Bons. The highlight being a fantastic volley from Racing defender Jason Lake after he controlled a throw in and volleyed it without the ball touching the ground. Douglas Mortgage had too much fire power for Cork Celtic. Celtic had no answers to the superb finishing of both Douglas strikers, John Mullarky and Owen Cahill who both scored hatricks.
Far from Athletic stay in 2nd place with an excellent 4-1 win over CUH. Aaron Atkinson whose elegant skills shone in the Far From midfield and he was instrumental to their victory.
Wednesday Division 2
Kieran Buckley was the star man for the Multiple Scorgasams, whose hatrick helped his team to a 7-2 win over Dynamo Tonduff. This game was a one sided affair Aaron Maguire also in good form for the Scorgasams. Balaga Tonga also had a good win and stay in contention after a 11- 6 win over the improving Pink Panthers. Philip Cotter ran the game from midfield for Balaga who also had Joe Dempsey and Philip Sweetman in top form and amongst the goals.
Golden Oldies stay top on goal difference after a comprehensive win over the Boca Seniors. Killian Hogan and man of the match John Farrell were the star men for the Oldies. The Bocas improved in the 2nd half after a poor defensive display in the first half.
Hit & Miss overcame Time to say Goodbye 4-2 in an entertaining game. Peter Sinnott was best for H&M. whose goals came from Dan Williams and Brian Murphy who scored a brace each.
Wednesday Division 3
A suberb volley from Alan Ford for MP O’Sullivans in the opening minutes was enough to win a really tough battle with the Average Joes. Younger legs perhaps the telling factor in this encounter.
Gowlacticos maintained their 3 point lead and 100% record with another victory over the BNY. The highlight here being an excellent header from Barry Fitzgerald late in the game.
2 Brian Beale goals was not enough for the Carrigaline boys as Rosies just came up short against Fritzl Palace and found Mike Wren again in great form who scored a brilliant goal from a tight angle.
The Baggios who are now finding their feet, beat Sub Standard Liege 6-3 in a very open game. Pedro and Phil Mohally with a hatrick a piece. Pedro opened the scoring with a beautiful back heel to set the Baggios on their way to a confident performance.
