Bandits Robbed

Thursday Division 1
The match of the evening was a thriller between Bandits United and Ex Pats Athletic. The Bandits, who are under performing this season had a terrible start and conceded three goals in the first 15 minutes. It looked like a white wash was on the cards. However by half time the lads from North Kerry were back on level terms. The teams were still dead locked with minutes left when Joe Sweeney scored a well taken goal and stole the points for the Pats. Ciaran O Brian was outstanding for The Bandits and contributed three goals.
It looked like The All Blacks were going to record their first win of the season against The Thirtysomethings, who haven’t lost yet this season when they were ahead with 5 minutes remaining. However two late well taken goals by Graham Virgo and Jake McAuliffe scuppered any chances of a shock result and kept The Magpies joint top of the division.
The Booze Crew had an emphatic 6-0 against United. The first half was evenly fought, but four goals early in the second half secured the points for the lads from The Navy. Ian Stapleton was in great form and scored four for the Crew.
The Unknowns are improving with every match and are now hot favourites to win this division. They had another convincing win this week against Pity The Fool. Gordon Lynch continued his goal fest and notched four this week to bring his total for the season to 21.

Thursday Division 2
BNY came from behind to twice and were all square with Apple Exiles with ten minutes to go. However Cormac Long broke the Bankers hearts when he scored the winner for Apple with a fine goal during a magnificent encounter which neither team deserved to loose.
Despite dominating the possession, The Whitfords had to come from behind to draw with a determined TA Sheehans team. Chris Foley and Darren Ronan scored three great goals for Sheehans from their only real chances in the match before Jesper Peterson scored the late equaliser.
The Net Busters had too much power and youth in their ranks to be troubled by The Flying Column. Alex Daly and Jake Smith tormented the Barrack Street lads throughout.
Sean Tobin was again in outstanding form for Bank of NY. He scored three very early goals and put the result of their encounter against JT Specials beyond before The Specials realised what hit them.

Thursday Division 3
Panicyaikos and The 49ers played a very sporting and enjoyable match that was won by the 49ers 8-4. The goal of the match was scored by MVP, Colin Irwin early in the game.
CPL FC were a little too strong for South City in a match, the result of which was never in doubt. Alan Jordan and Rory Walsh scored a hat trick a piece for CPL.

Wednesday Division 2
An under strength douglasmortgage.ie lost further ground this week when they were defeated by a rejuvenated Rosies. Despite trailing 0-2 early in the match, Rosies deserved to win 4-2. Anton Bercy was outstanding for The Carrigaline men and scored a fine hat trick.
Far From Athletic continued their assault with a hard fought win against a dogged Bons team. It looked like the Bons might take the honours when they recovered an early two goal deficit. However, Far From were able to reverse the momentum and eventually won 4-2. The high light was a spectacular volley scored by Dave Kelleher for the Bons.
Joe Dempsey was immense for Balaga during their 5-2 win against Sons of Pitches. The goal of the match was scored by Eoghan Kennedy for Balaga and set up by Joe Dempsey.
CUH moved three points clear at the top of the division following a comprehensive win against Club Redz. Ivan Weir continues to score freely for the Wilton lads and bagged four this week. Sean Sheehan and Cathal Sullivan notched a brace each for CUH.

Wednesday Division 1
Padraig McGovern was in great form for Racing Club and scored an impressive five goals during their comprehensive win against Match.com. Pat O Connell and Brian Atkinson scored two a piece for Match.com.
Marcan Korona was outstanding between the sticks for The Refugees during their match against QEF Global. Robert Kriegak bagged four for the Poles while Ryan Nolan and Ray Keating notched a brace each for QEF.
The Kids defeated a gallant Dynamo Tonduff to maintain their hundred per cent record. Colin Hammond and Brian Wise were in a different class for the Kids and scored bags of goals.
Temple Inn were very impressive against O Donovan Electrical. Man of the match, Tim Connolly was outstanding and frustrated O Donovans with marvellous saves throughout. Kevin Garda and David Johnson both scored hat tricks for Temple.

Wednesday Division 3
The Hit and Miss and Boca Seniors encounter was a testy by fair match that kept the Ref on his toes through out. However Boca Seniors couldn’t defend Dan Williams who was outstanding and scored a hat trick for Hit and Miss.
When Luke McKeon scored a spectacular goal late in the second half it appeared that The Castlematyres were about to win for the second time this season. However their celebrations were scuppered when Garry Cronin equalised for Barstoolona with two minutes remaining. The final score was 3-3.
An under strength Marys Ramblers defended bravely against BNYM FC and were on level terms at half time. The pressure from BNYM finally paid dividends and the Airport Business Park lads eventually won 6-1.
An outstanding chest and volleyed goal scored by Trevor Montgomery was the high light of the Average Joes, Substandard Liege encounter which was won comfortably by the Joes.
