Good Win For All Blacks

Thursday Division 1
John McCarthy was in tip top form for the All Blacks as they overcame their old rivals the Thirtysomethings 4-3. Aaron McGrath came up with a late winner. The industrious Niall Murphy was also excellent for the winners in midfield.
The Net Busters and Footy newcomers Sliabh naMban drew 2-2 in a very exciting encounter. Peter Fitzmaurice was best for Net Busters and came up with the equaliser for his side. Seamus Langford scored twice for Sliabh Na mBan who squandered a two goal lead. Both sides defended well in this game.
Boothouse had an excellent win 3-0 over the Bandits in a game that was much tighter than the scoreline suggests. Cormac Manning opened the scoring for Boothouse with a gem of a shot. Shane Cajhill scored a 2nd just before the break. The Bandits were a bit unlucky not to score and fought hard in the 2nd half, but David James sealed the points for Boothouse with a well taken 3rd goal.
Brian Lyons scored a very late winner for Ezy FC to keep his side top of this division. They beat Apple Exiles 3-2. Ezy would have been heavy favourites going into this game but Apple were excellent on the night and put it up to Ezy who had to work very hard for the win. Ronan Geary and Cormac Long were on the scoresheet for Apple.

Thursday Division 2
2 very tight games in this division saw  Men Utd and Whitfords both win by the odd goal. Men Utd played the game of their lives as they beat Balaga Tonga 6-5 in the game of the week. Damien Carroll was best for Utd and Paul Tobin was unlucky to be on the losing side as he scored all of Balaga’s five goals giving a masterclass in finishing in the process.
Whitfords have Gavin Rosser to thank for coming up with both goals in their sides 2-1 win over O’Higgins FC.
JT Specials and Sons of Pitches played out a tough 3-3 draw. Michael Deasy was man of the match and scored twice for the Pitches. The reliable Steve Riordain scored the Specials’s leveller.
The Flying Column had the biggest win of the evening as they easily ousted Panathieastcork 5-1. Conor O Mahony and Alan Mullery  scored one each and Ciaren McArtan scored a hatrick and produced a man of the match display for the Column.
