Hit Or Miss and Glasgow Septic Draw 8-8 Thriller

Wednesday Division 1
An 8-8 thriller was the highlight of last weeks Footy games. Hit or Miss and Glasgow Septic played out this memorable fixture. Fiachra O Driscoll from Hit & Miss and Septic’s Luke Connolly were the main men on show as they both hit 4 goals a piece.
Joe Dempsey, Philip Cotter and Philip Sweetman all starred for CSKA as they maintained their 5 point gap over CUH. Sweetman continued his remarkable scoring form and hit a hatrick, as did Dempsey. But they were made work all the way by a hard working Booze Crew side that had Martin Deady in top form.
CUH came from a goal down with 5 minutes to go to gain all 3 points in an excellent 4-3 win over Racing. Padraig McGovern was again Racing’s goal scorer. Ivan Weir was on the mark again for the Wilton boys and scored a brace.
Baggios showed some excellent teamwork and got their first win of the season as they overcame a dogged Fritzl Palace side 7-3. This games highlight was a spectacular overhead kick from Darragh O Regan.

Wednesday Division 2
Rosies were too hot to handle in front of goal for an improving Avengers side. Eoin Moynihan was their top player and was on the mark 4 times. Joe Herrity was best for the Avengers and scored his sides only goal.
Tim O Connor scored the only goal of the game for AC Standard as they beat Crystal Fallace in a very hard fought encounter and should now be favourites to go on and win the division after this win over their main rivals. If Rosies continue their hot streak in front of goal they might also have a say in this division.
A tremendous volley from the ever reliable John O’Brien set FC Coping Badly on their way, who went on to win 4-0 against an under strength Lemmons side. Mark Kennifick was in brillant form and scored a hatrick.
